Just posted about using passport with my maiden name - 1 airline said you can use w/valid marriage license. the other said i would have a problem. does anyone have experience in this in a recent trip out of country?? i am really bummed [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

just go with your marriage license and valid i.d. you should be fine. are you u.s. citizen? where are you going? migh thelp to also haev a notarized letter stating you are who you are. but don't worry you should be fine. my name is constantly mispelled on tickets so it does nto match my passport, i did not change my name when I married and often travel with my kids who have dh last name. no problems to date as logn as i have supportign docs. There's a passport agency in Manhattan that might be able to ammend your passport same day. You've got to pay a lot of money and waste your whole day there, though. I think it's on Varrick St. near King? Something like that - near the Holland tunnel. [ Reply | More
