my 3yo slept in our bed for a week on a vacation and will now not go into his own bed. btw, we also have a new baby whose crib is in our room. what should we do? force him to sleep in his bed? he cries and gets up in the middle of the night to come into our room. tia. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Not OP here, but you don't have to CIO if you don't want to, and it's really hard with a 3-year-old. You can reason with a 3-year-old, offer rewards, try other things first. When this happened with my toddler we just set up a sticker system and it worked. Also try the No Cry Sleep Solution by Elizabeth Pantley. Don't do something your heart isn't in (forgive bad grammar). [ Reply | More ]
