going fairly nuts w/ the terrible 2's ... why does it seem like my dd is the only kid who screams on the street? why does she have such intense tantrums? why is she so whiny? what can we do about it? advise please, and pls. no flaming. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

she's not. really. we've all been there. prevention is generally the key, in my experience. make sure she's well fed, well rested. make your expectations clear (and don't expect too much of a 2yo!). it will pass (and you'll be on to the next set of annoying behaviors). [ Reply | More

She's not eh only one, but I sure felt like my kids was the only doing this at that age. Stay calm, strap her in the stroller and sing. [ Reply | More

this you can and need to control. The stroller is a non-negotiable (like a car seat for a suburban mom). You plop her in, hold her down with your knee and strap her in. Dh called it "hog-tying." [ Reply | More

my kid was an angel through his twos (and before). never ever a tantrum. But ever since he turned 3... omg. (I guess I have a late bloomer?) no advice really, just remain calm.. I think it's from frustration with communicating what they want and getting it right away. [ Reply | More
