you know, I'm GLAD gas prices are high. I'm so sick of all the huge cars around here that we all "need". These needs are invented. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

high taxes don't help anything. They just clog up the works and discourage competition and working. The reason prices are so high is because of hig demand (India and China mostly) and because we haven't built any new refineries since the 1970's! And because we won't allow oil drilling in our own country - Anwar, coast of fla etc. Crazy! [ Reply | More

thank you for speaking so slowly. i do, though, understand that the current prices are due to "high demand" (I called it a shortage, which happens when there is a high demand and not enough product, right??) As for the taxes thing, explain to me why European countries do NOT have an SUV problem. Tiny little cars. Really high gas prices. due to taxes. [ Reply | More
