Has anyone had to convince DH to have #2? I've fluctuated on the issue but now that dd is 4, I miss having a baby and feel the family is imcomplete. What was your argument that made your DH come around and see things the way you do? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

we have 3dcs and I really wanted 4---but I was reluctant to "roll the dice" again, so I stopped. Dh was not totally sure about #3 , now is happy as a clam [ Reply | More

wow. glad it worked out for you, even if you didn't get 4. I had a lot of trouble even having one so we would have to do ivf again or adopt. It's no small decision. [ Reply | More

i grew up with 1 sib 11 years younger. i was so lonely most of my childhood and even now that we're both older, our age gap is so significant that it's hard to feel that close to her. convinced dh that sibs are important - and recognized i was probably projecting my own issues... [ Reply | More

We had 2 and I told him that I wanted #3 to complete our family. I told him he would never complain that there are too many kids at the holiday table. It took a long time becasue we were over 40 and had a boy and a girl and both worked but he was a prince and we went through 4 yrs of fertility treatments. yeah, we are 42 (me) and 40 (him) and had to do ivf for #1. As much as I hate to go through that again, I would if it meant having a larger family...or we would adopt. DD begs for a sibling and I have come to really want that too. [ Reply | More
