Every day I change my mind about having #3. Today I think 2 is perfect and I shouldn't have a 3rd. Financially I think it makes sense to stay at 2, I don't want to be pregnant again, I have a DS and DD and feel satisfied. My DH really wants another. And I always let him call the shots. How do I make the best decision for me? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I change my mind about #3 all the time as well. I would be perfectly happy with our family the way it is (2 fantastic dds). I think about how travel, space in our apt, school choices all would be simpler if we stay at 2 dc. Dh and I agree that we feel this way and then one of us says, "we should have another" and we're back to square one. I wish both of us felt strongly that we were done. If I felt the way that you describe feeling, I would talk to dh about shelving the third db idea for six months and see how you both feel then. [ Reply | More ]

why does he call the shots in terms of pregnancy when you have to carry the child, birth it, nurse it and then do 80% of the work? If financially it makes sense to stay at 2, stay at 2. You don't want to be resentful for having a 3rd. You can't go back when the bills start piling up and you can't do what you used to becasue you had a 3rd. [ Reply | More ]
