why does my husband think that an apartment with a doorman that is on the ground floor and has a garden is "ghetto"? I think this sounds perfectly nice. Is there some overall bias against ground floor apartments that I'm not aware of? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

They are generally the least sought after in many apartment buildings--often they are medical offices with a very high maintenance and need a complete reno because of that, also they are less secure and often have bars on the windows. Nice to have a garden, but many ground floor apts have no access to the garden or "courtyard." [ Reply | More ]

I don't know. I think it is nice to have no one living below you and gardens are nice. [ Reply | More ]
