I agree that we do make more of an effort -- though the Chinese have in their own way made an effort with the 1 child law. Considering they have one of the largest populations on the planet, that is a start (though not the way I would go about limiting resources.) [ Reply | More

Excuse me. But Japan is the second largest economy in the world, and is a member of G7 (or G8). How could you put Japan in the same catagory as in China and Russia. Japan and Denmark are most environmentally concious countries. Do you even know that while the US population is only 4.5% of the world population, she uses 24% of the world enegy resouces? Japan has too few kids and aging population which is actually a problem, Russia is not much better. both would like to see birth rate going up, not down. And even China is relaxing the one child policy, if both you and dh are only children you are allowed 2 kids. [ Reply | More
