three days ago, in a thrilling moment, my 2.2 yo peed on the potty(!). I cheered and clapped and hoorayed and she seemed very pleased and proud (although I'm not sure she got what happened). But i've tried every morning since then and she'll sit down but then says she's done (before peeing) and gets up, wants to flush and then proceeds to pee in the diaper I put on her. Is this normal backsliding? should i stop for now? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Just because she peed on the potty once doesn't mean she is toilet trained. The fact that she hasn't done it again isn't backsliding. You said yourself you werent sure she got what happened. You just need to keep offering her the potty but not pushing too hard. [ Reply | More ]
