I know I should not be annoyed, but some dad and his 8 yo son (in wheelchair) were at the playground yesterday, and my 3 yo was following the 8 yo up a ramp, and the wheelchair went backwards and almost ran over my ds. The dad said "Are you ok?" to his own son, but did not inquire about mine, who was almost run over. I know, I am grateful my child is not in a wheelchair. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

np: What's dangerous is following a wheelchair up the ramp. If the kid didn't do it on purpose, what would be the purpose of your comment? What do you tell a toddler? Keep off the ramp because there is a kid in a wheelchair on it? Won't that encourage bias? Also, you control your toddler every second at the park? I was trying to get to him. Should I have screamed "Get away from the crippled kid!!!!!!!!!!"? [ Reply | More

you dont teach your child to be afraid of the kid in the wheelchair, but you say to him "don't walk to close behind him because he can't see you" or something to that matter. and you know what, you really need to get a grip! yeah, it was sort of annoying, but you are going to yell at, or what you said "remind" his father about it in front of his kid? be glad your kid has feet to run over in the first place [ Reply | More
