anyone ever had chicken feet for dim sum? dd and I went to a dim sum place in chinatown. we were practically the only nonasians in there, and every table was chowing down on these things that we later identified as chicken feet by using the picture menu. they must be good, but we just couldn't bring ourselves to try them [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

do you live in NYC? I specifically wanted to go to a regular restaurant, but at lunchtime, it seemed to all be dim sum at the one we went to. it was very crowded with a long line outside. But it was hard to communicate. it was a very different dining experience. [ Reply | More ]

i live in hoboken. it depends on which restaurants you go to on the weekend. some restaurants that aren't cantonese (shanghai style ones) don't have dimsum on the weekends. dim sum is more of a cantonese thing [ Reply | More ]

not noodles or dumplings, I tend to like spicy. can you recommend a couple? like if you're craving this, you go here, and if you're craving that, you go there? [ Reply | More ]

hmmm i am not sure because i tend to eat chinese comfort food. when i want stir fried rice cakes, i go to shanghai cafe on mott. i also like hot pot, so i'll go to this place on grand. when i want congee, i go to congee village (this is probably your best bet, they have good food there) [ Reply | More ]

It's not just Asians-- latinos love chicken feet also. I've had chicken feet soup often both at home and at restaurants(I'm hispanic) but I don't actually eat and dig in to the actual feet ;) [ Reply | More ]
