Is it customary to send a thank you note to the woman who takes you on a pre-school tour? Is it expected or is it a little over the top? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I didn't when I was touring our current school (ongoing) and we were accepted. Now that I"m a parent and take the time to do tours and go to open houses etc. to meet parents and talk about the school, I have to say that I wouldn't think it was ott if it was sincere. I put a certain amt of time and effort into the tour, answering qts etc and I felt quite touched when I received a couple of notes. I don't think it made a difference in terms of admissions but I mentioned it and left the note for the doa to put in the family's file. [ Reply | More ]
