Am I the only one who did NOT know that pregnant women are not supposed to eat soft-serve ice cream? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Apparently, if the machines aren't properly cleaned, you can get listeria. I guess there was some study in Australia and it's a big no no there. Tori Spelling is taking heat for promoting Baskin-Robbins giving free soft-serve cones to pregnant women on Wednesdays (get it, hump day?). [ Reply | More

As a PhD chemist, I'd love to know specifically which chemicals in Tasti D-lite are so offensive. I acknowledge that it isn't great for you and an all natural diet would be preferable, but the main ingredients are water, milk, sugar and corn syrup and as poster below says, there really isn't such a thing as soft serve ice cream.
