DH's family is having a dinner tomorrow for his brother who we haven't seen in 6 months and who is leaving the country for a few months. I am 38 weeks pg and for a bunch of reason I really don't want to go. The hostess has assured me that she will understand if I decide I'm not up to it. I feel rude not going but I'm not that close to BIL at all. Would it be OK for me to back out? I've never backed out of anything with them before, if that matters. Be honest. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

it's about a half hour drive. i don't mean this in a martyr sort of way but I've not been getting along with my ILs lately and I'm worried if I'm there dh will be worried about me and not just hanging out with his brother who he really wants to see i'm sure.
