I found out our new nanny (she worked for us for 4 week) was stealing from us. We fired her on the spot. She took change from our change jar. We don’t have a nanny cam in our house and I am a very trustworthy person. I was home alone for the first time while she had the kids at the park and I had a strange feeling that she might be stealing from us or I just wanted to ease my mind that was wasn’t. So, I looked in her purse and found over $40 in change, my new dish soap and Kleenexes. We believe she had been taking over about $40 in change for a week or two. She gave us a million excuse as to why she had taken $ from us and wanted a second chance. She is legal and has state certification for an in-home day care. I am really tempted to call the police or get back in touch with her and threaten her to return everything single dine she stole from us or I will call the police, tell her husband etc… I’m so upset that she stole from us, we paid her very well!
