Okay, is there any place in Soho (or nearby) to buy maternity clothes, other than Cadeau (which is freakishly expensive). I work full time, at a crazy stressful job, and can't venture that far at lunch. Hoping there's something else nearby, where I can at least pick up a few things to tide me over. Eh--if you're that pressed for time, order online. Gap makes decent enough stuff (that's easy to return if it doesn't fit) [ Reply | More ]

op: Yeh, I like their stuff -- wore much of it with #1 (was prg in an entirely different season, so have nothing to wear). But it's actually a pain for me to return stuff -- there's no Gap nearby (closest is at Astor Place) -- so I'm trying to avoid the hassle, just go for an hour, try a few things on, grab a couple pairs of pants and a dress or two. Then wait for the weekend and go to the maternity place on 57th Street. [ Reply | More ]

op: That's the problem: I'm working for the next two weekends, then going away the following weekend (and actually have to get dressed up, twice, on that weekend away); so I somehow have to find an hour or two, escape from the office, and grab a few things. Am just realizing maybe I should just take the train a few stops to Macy's, where I can enlist the help of salespeople (and Gap is across the street). [ Reply | More ]

Yes. (Though I haven't been since 1st prg, three years ago; and it occurs to me that maybe they have stuff on sale. But, then, it seemed like a pair of pants was $300, etc., which is more than I want to spend.) [ Reply | More ]
