My 13 month old seems to be sick with another virus every 2-3 weeks. He is in daycare and has an older brother, which I know doesn't help. Ped isn't worried. Should I be, or am I being a worrywart? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

my ds was on antibiotics for ear and chest infections 4-5 times this winter. He is 2.5yo. It happens. See how he does now that the weather is better, I guarantee he will stop getting so many sicknesses [ Reply | More

NP: This was not my experience. When my DD was that age, she caught everything imaginable at the playground during the summer: roseola, coxsackie, etc. Just saying. [ Reply | More

I'd give it until mid-summer. If she continues to be sick through June and early July, then I'd worry. Summer usually airs everything out and there is less illness. FWIW, my 3yo has had a cold for about a month and 3mos dd has caught it. This spring has been bad. [ Reply | More

we had this problem at different years for different kids. if it's just run of the mill stuff (colds, ear infections, etc) i wouldn't worry too much. if it went on to two winters of constant viruses, then i might start worrying mroe. [ Reply | More
