How did you make the decision to be a SAHM or a WOHM if money weren't the only factor. After taxes, nanny, train pass, etc I take home about $15-20K, which is enough to make a difference but we could make it up in other ways. I'm feeling so ambivalent about what to do... [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I knew that being a SAH was the only thing for me for the first few years. I knew once those years were gone, they were gone. We have made sacrifices for me to be able to do that but it was totally the right decision for us [ Reply | More ]

well, can you afford to try sahm for 6 or 7 months and go back to work if you so choose? i tried it and hated it but have my own firm so i can kind of do whatever [ Reply | More ]

it's hard to decide. i ended up getting laid off and it was great for me. i think if you think it's something you want to do, you shoudl go for it. [ Reply | More ]
