every summer I try and go with what is supposed to be a "better" sunscreen. My kids got burned yesrerday too. Going back to my fail-proof Bananna Boat Baby [ Reply | More ]

Banana Boats are really not good for their bodies..they are so chemical laden because majorly mass produced. Read a big article on this company. [ Reply | More ]

I know. I've done all my research at cosmeticsdatabase.com. so i bought California Baby sunscreen and honeslty, it doesn't work as well. I think the benefits of not getting burned (at least for my fair skinned redheads) outweighs the chemicals [ Reply | More ]

Huh--I posted about California Baby below and swear by it. I used it last summer for very fair skinned DS and had no problems. [ Reply | More ]

did you have to reapply alot? This is my first summer using it and I guess I should ahve repplied but both kids got burned yesterday. And I really put it on thickly, but did not reapply after they were in the pool (b/c they were in and out all day and were always wet) [ Reply | More ]

No--I usually do reapply at least once a day, but that's about it. We're not in and out of a pool though so maybe that's the difference? [ Reply | More ]

perhaps. I've been using it for a few weks but yesterday was our first real outdoors at the pool day. I'm going to be better about reapplying. A dermatoogist once told me with their skin type they really can't be out in the sun for long periods no matter waht I do. But that's not really feasable if they're swimming. I should get them swim shirts [ Reply | More ]

Well, the thickness is why it works so well! But try the SPF 18 version, which comes in a pump rather than the SPF 30 version that comes in a tube. [ Reply | More ]

I tried their sunscreen last year and didn't love it. Also, so much of their stuff is really filled with chemicals despite how they advertise themselves. That bugs me. [ Reply | More ]
