I got pregnant on second round of Clomid with IUI. Did have an HSG before I started the whole thing. I think they say that after 3 unsuccessful rounds of clomid w/IUI, you may want to go on to a more aggressive technique, which depending on what's going on may or may not include injectibles, or IVF. Also make sure you are going to the clinics with high success rates. There is a "third party" .org that rates various ART clinics around the country with all the stats . you may want to check it out to make sure you are spending your money at the right place. One Caviat though with IUI, I got pregnant at a very mid-tier place. It's when you get into IVF that great labs and success rates make a big difference. I know how horribly stressful it all is. But you really are still early in the ART game and have a lot of options available, so don't lose hope. I wish you great luck with your next round. [ Reply | More

success rates with IUI fall somewhere between 13-26% per try, depending on patient's and partner's issues. Success rates with IVF can be as high as 45-55% per try. Those numbers are pretty darn good. GL. [ Reply | More
