My brother's ILs are doing the same. His MIL's parents paid for their grandchildren's education (preK to PhD for my SIL) and expect that my brother and SIL will do the same for their grandchildren. [ Reply | More

trick is to pay for 1st kid for the first year and be very involved with the school. helps if your kid is a good student and the school likes him. then you get aid for the next ones. [ Reply | More

No, what the younger sibs don't know won't hurt them. don't take older kid out of school because the sib didn 't get aid. As i said if you are really part of the school community the school will do their best to keep you. A lot of these schools have a lot of $ to give, you just have to ask. [ Reply | More
