I have a 14 day old dd - she sleeps 3-4 hours at a time in between feedings. Is this ok? If we try to wake her up to feed her sooner, she just falls back asleep. She's gaining weight ok. Should we just let her sleep? I guess I thought newborns would want to eat every 2 hours? TIA [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Let her sleep and count your blessings that she's sleeping that much. [ Reply | More ]

count your lucky stars and follow her lead. My ds (the one who wasn't colicky) slept 3-4 hours between feedings at first. Gradually he stayed awake longer and longer. [ Reply | More ]
