I'm trying to stop rocking my 11 mo old ds to sleep for naps and bed time. he's been crying for an hour and 20 minutes. I keep going in to comfort him - not picking him up. he's hysterical now. do i give in? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

just go get her, she'll be very tired for next nap and scream and scream but then drop off more quickly, i'd start with naps and leave bed time for last to stop rocking (once she is good at the naps). For naps try to read a book or have the whole routine without the rocking. [ Reply | More ]

I think you're supposed to wait a little bit longer each time before going in. So, ten minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes etc. [ Reply | More ]
