Nutrition question... if a healthy adult should have no more than 40 grams of sugar a day (presumably including added and naturally occuring sugars), how could one eat the recommended amounts of fresh fruits and dairy products a day without exceeding 40 grams of sugar? These have natural sugars that add up to more than 40 grams if you eat as much of them as you're supposed to... [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

and don't worry about how much sugar they contain? I'm inclined to follow this advice, thanks. I'm on a campaign to eat better, but I it seems silly to worry about how much sugar is in an orange! [ Reply | More ]

ITA. silly. healthy eating should involve lots of whole, unprocessed foods, like fresh fruit, and minimal (or no) refined sugar. If you worry more about sugar you might end up eating sugar-free processed foods, which is definitely not "eating better". GL [ Reply | More ]

that's a good idea. I used to do that for my kids instead of getting yobaby, but it never occurred to me to do it for myself... [ Reply | More ]
