WOHM seriously considering SAHM. Money will be incredibly tight which is scary, but I am miserable WOHM, I hate my job, I work too much, I miss DC... these are the right reasons to SAHM, right? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

We're selling our apartment and I've proposed that we "pay" me $30K a year, which I will then put back into household expenses and will hopefully make me feel less dependent on DH (my issue, not his). We can do that for 2 years before we're dipping into principle. My thought was I'd SAHM for 1 year and then start WAH. [ Reply | More

he doesn't, that's the problem. Why not smart? not flaming, just trying to understand? We made a 10% profit on the sale of our apartment and we're not planning to roll it over right away (we're renting) as we're not sure where we plan on living long term... [ Reply | More
