WWYD? A woman with whom i was really close, almost like sisters, dropped our friendship about 10 yrs ago. I tried with her occasionally after that. But when I called her on 9/11 and she didn't seem to give a shit, i stopped trying. It took a long time for me to get over it, but i finally did. Yesterday, I get an e-mail from her saying she wants our children to meet. WTF? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

maybe. but is it really worth my opening up to her again to find out she hasn't? it took a very long time bf i got over it. she was like a sister ad best friend. she knew things about me no one else knew and she jsut retreated from my life. very hurtful. [ Reply | More

I get that totally and personally would have no time for her. But to some people it would be worthwhile to see if the lost connection can be repaired. Again not my thing, but make sure it isn't yours before you blow her off [ Reply | More

such thoughtful advice. i appreciate it. for now, i think, i will just not do anything. see how i feel. if she really means it, i can contact her in a month or even six months and it shouldn't make a difference. if it does, then i have my answeras to whether it's worth it or not. [ Reply | More

Listen. Let go of the past. If you want her back in your life, open the door , if not close it. There may be all kinds of reasons why .... Who knows ? Some people need their space for whatever reason , it may not even be about you. The important thing is to live in the moment and then move on. Hope this helps. But the fact that it hurts shows you want to reconnect so just do it. You may be disappointed again but so what but at least you know and you did it for you. [ Reply | More
