I really wonder what its like to be a preschool teacher. If a parent is obnoxious are they biased against that kid? And what do they think of high strung anxious parents? Do those kids get more attention and time? Sometimes i feel like I am so low key I could be doing my kids a disservice... [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I think they just feel bad for the kid. [ Reply | More ]

I'm a nursery school teacher. I'm good at separating parents and DC. I appreciate low-key moms! :) [ Reply | More ]

But does the hyper parent garner more attention for their child or is it all for nothing? The reason i bring this up is because my youngest was just left out of a class project last week. They sent home a book and he wasnt included but every other kid had a page in it. And I felt like an ass bringing it up to the teacher but I was annoyed. [ Reply | More ]

You should be annoyed -- that's unacceptable IMO. Sometimes a high-strung parent does make me more aware of an issue -- but I give equal "air time" to low-key parents, too. [ Reply | More ]
