I make lists -- even if they include things like "take out garbage." I also always go to bed with a neat house -- I never leave things out and I pack my bag the night before. [ Reply | More ]

thanks. i'm going to start keeping lists and a datebook with me at all times. i wish i didn't constantly misplace things. i know i need to have a designated place for everything. when i get home it's like a pie hits me in the face. i have 2 under 3 and i should be better organized. [ Reply | More ]

there are lots of organizational books out there. I love reading them. DH calls them my "productivity porn." Every single one of them gets nutty in parts, but they also generally have a few good ideas that I can use. I'm big on lists too. I've found the best way to keep them is on a palm. I don't even really use the handheld, just the software on the computer. You can combine your schedule with to-do's and phone numbers, addresses, etc. You can categorize (so you can run a list of errands or phone numbers and just rip through them), prioritize, set a to-do for a certain date (so the thing you thought of now doesn't get forgotten by the time you are supposed to do it.)
