Making brown rice the conventional way (boiling in water then simmering for 45 mins.) Once it's done, anything I can do to spice it up a little? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

What I do is in the water add the spices, cumin, beper, bay, cilantro, garlic and onion. If I want a kick I add some chili flakes. Once it is done you can stirr fry it. In a very hot pan with some oil and ginger, garilc, basil and soy sauce, or add the spices you desire. You can even add an egg to that if you want to [ Reply | More ]
