np: Iagree with OP, breast feeding was like liposuction for me. I dropped all the major weight in the first 6 weeks, and I had gained almost 50 lbs. I can't wait to have this baby and start nursing to lose weight, this time I'm gonna lose 20 more lbs and get down to fighting weight. OR: i know women like this too, but in all seriousness, when we would discuss how we were eating, I was the only one not eating a gallon of ice cream every day or really bingeing. I was able to eat normally and have a good supply, and I was able to diet toward the end (i bfd for 18 months) and not be too concerned about milk quantity. I all aspects of dieting in my life I have had a hard time losing weight, but breast feeding was like a revelation. [ Reply | More

I really don't think it has anything to do with bf or not, I think it just comes down to diet. The women who have trouble losing the weight are the ones who continue to overeat. If they watch their diet and exercise, they pounds will come off. [ Reply | More
