NP: PErsonally, I haven't been out of the country in 3 years but I always take my passport for the airport domestically. Also, my dh occasionally gets surprise trips out of the country and I think someday I might actually go with him. plus, having an additional form of official government id is a really good idea for jobs, benefits at work, all kinds of things.
