Can a newborn sleep in a moses basket and where do you put it at night? - is there a stand for it like a bassinet has? How long can they sleep in a moses basket? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I want db in room with me. We had a bassinet with db #1 but we gave it away (don't ask!). Now I'm looking at bassinets and I just don't want to spend $300-400. for something that db will outgrow in 4 months. I just can't picture putting the moses basket on the floor, but I guess that's what I'll have to consider. [ Reply | More ]

Those are overpriced for the name. You might be better off with a Grace playpen with sleeper and changer all-in-one. Though they can be bulky if you don't have the room for them. [ Reply | More ]

op: But what do you think of the mattress quality on these? I'm guessing you meant Graco and not Grace. [ Reply | More ]

My dcs slept in a moses basket by the side of our bed for about 2-3months before moving into the crib. I used a stand with #1 but just put it on the floor for #2 as I was worried about #1 pulling it over. I used the Moses basket during the day too so that the baby could sleep in whichever room I was in at the time. [ Reply | More ]

Any problems with basket on floor at night? Draft? Dust? Your pillow falling off the bed and landing on the db? 'Can't believe I'm even thinking this way? I was sooo laid back with db #1! [ Reply | More ]

I kept it pillow falling distance away from the bed just in case and I was also worried if it was too close I would step on him in the night (which I never did!). Honestly it was fine and it's only for a few weeks anyway. GL [ Reply | More ]

op: Y'know, I don't really need a new stroller and I was a little anti bugaboo, but I've thought about this as a reason to buy one. Can you put a carseat in the bugaboo frame? [ Reply | More ]

NP. Yes but if you don't need a new stroller getting one just for the bassinet would be crazy. By the way I'm a Bug fan. [ Reply | More ]
