Help me!!! I have a 3.5 yo and a 2 month old. I live in Chicago, I went ho,e to stay with my Mom for a week(dif state) to visit, get help. ect. Anyway, the kids and I stayed with her. However since we got back to Chicago my son has hit and kicked classmates and reachers, (he has NEVER done that before) Today when I picked him up he was in the "office" hysterical. He punched another kid, and kicked the teacher. I asked him why he was doing this and he said I wanted you to come. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Listen. A 2 mo old baby does not need more attention. I had mine 18 months apart. You have to focus on your toddler who feels and will remember. Address his emotional and physical needs, center your world around him and just tend to the baby's basic needs. The baby is 2 mo old. It won't remember. [ Reply | More ]

np. i really really dont know about that. can you imagine tell a first time mom that all she needs to do is to tend to the baby's very basic needs? #2 is a baby. there is a mid of the road thing here. it is what it means to have a sibling. #1 is going to get less attention. you cant pretend the baby does not exist. ha! you had a very easy 2mo, didn't you? My only advise to OP is that you and DH have to give as much attention to the toddler as possible. [ Reply | More ]

Yikes. What happened? What did you take a way from him? Did you move? His world has been rocked and he feels unstable. YOu have to work really hard at making him feel secure. [ Reply | More ]

ITA...they are testing things out. This is a way he is exerting control over you. Every time you respond to his bad behavior, it is reinforcing it, unfortunately. [ Reply | More ]
