Would you mind if ILs said they were coming to see db but wanted to just take dh out to dinner and say you should stay home with the baby? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I think they will because their visits with DH aren't including the dc. Once it becomes a package deal, DH alone will probably insist that she be included. (He should be already but I don't know the dynamic he has with his parents, so....). Meanwhile, she gets a nice spa visit or goes to a relatively close city for the week-end; checks out some museum exhibits.. whatever her heart desires. [ Reply | More

your dh should know better and decline.... of course, you realize all this fussing is spoiling your dh. May be what you should do instead to make it less appealing to dh is to find a really fun event for you and db with other families and tell yoru dh to go have dinner with the ILs.... may be then it would open his eyes a bit.
