I'm going to be staying with family in NYC and we are looking for a kid-friendly restaurant to have a casual dinner in midtown. Any suggestions? The kids are aged: 1, 4, 6, 9, and 12 (no, they aren't all mine, thank goodness). Many thanks for your help! I used to live on the Upper East and work in the WTC, but I never really went to midtown that much. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

There are a whole bunch of places in the Times Square area that are good with large parties and fine for kids. Tony's, Carmines, Ollies, Virgils (the latter three happen to be owned by the same restaurant group), Mars 2112, [ Reply | More ]

Hi everyone! Original poster here--thanks for all the great recommendations. I have to add one of my own. Fusia in midtown was fantastic--they make little mountains out of the white rice and they were so nice!!! The restaurant was mostly full and they still gave us tremendous service (even with the one year old making a terrible mess while eating). You should definitely check them out! We're sushi snobs and we thought there sushi was very good--fresh and creative options. [ Reply | More ]
