Did anyone who used the regular envelope and mail for G&T results get confirmation their envelope was actually received? Is there even a way to do so? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

many were lost and if you sent regular mail there is no way to verify through the post office, however you can call OSEPO and ask them to locate your child's application. [ Reply | More ]

Ok - how do you even know many were lost? And what number do we call? [ Reply | More ]

The post office says that there are several hundred that have not been picked up, and we already know that many certified letters were not picked up or lost. Logical conclusion is that there would also be some regular mail not picked up or lost, the senders are just unaware because their letters were sent without any tracking. [ Reply | More ]

How do we know that many certified letters were lost? Perhaps they just haven't entered the confirmation number yet. [ Reply | More ]

np: This person is making this up and purposefully trying to spread panic and misinformation. It's totally irresponsible of her. There is no evidence whatsoever that any letter has been lost! [ Reply | More ]

Dated 5/21: RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED/CERTIFIED LETTERS PICKED UP Thanks to an industrious parent, it appears that all G&T Return Receipt Requested/Certified Letters, that were received at the post office by at least Friday, were scheduled to be picked up. This parent tracked down the manager of the post office receiving the G&T applications, who confirmed the letters had not been picked up despite the DOE assurances that they had. (In fact, only applications sent through regular mail, without any additional stipulations, were picked up previously.) The parent then put OSEPO in touch with the post office and plans were made to pick up the remaining applications [ Reply | More ]

So what about the applications that might have reached the post office AFTER that Friday? Are those the ones that are still sitting there? Where is the "industrious parent" now? [ Reply | More ]

um, it says letters sent regular mail WERE picked up. so your "logical conclusion" is complete bs. [ Reply | More ]

No honey. It says that arrangements were made for them to be picked up. And that was Friday. There has been more mail since then. I know you want to feel OK about this and since there is nothing you can do you might as well but the reality is that some people will find no placement and will then have to go to war wtih the DOE to get G&T placement. wow so the missing first class letters were not picked up? Geez, those poor parents! And they have no way to know until offers come out and they don't get anything. [ Reply | More ]

Well if we know the certified letters were not picked up then logic would state that the other mail was also not picked up. you just donh't know about it because you didn't certify. But don't take my word for it...just wait! [ Reply | More ]

CRAP you're right! So they didn't pick up the missing first class letters? WTF? This is completely unfair. This should have been done on line. [ Reply | More ]
