Did anyone actually feel signs of their cervix effacing/dilating in the weeks leading up to birth of #2? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I'm 39 weeks, 1cm dilate/ 50% effaced and have been for over a week. I could have sworn that I have felt cervix dilating more over the last week, but had ob appt. today and nothing has moved. Just wishful thinking on my part, I guess. Hope things move faster for you. [ Reply | More ]

I am 37 wks, not dilated at all as of last week. I've been feeling pressure/pain in my cervix and hoping that's what's going on, but probably not, right? Good luck to you, too. [ Reply | More ]

Did your water break or contractions start? Did you need pitocin or cervadil? Would love to hear your story! TIA! [ Reply | More ]

contractions started. Water didn't break. I didn't need pitocin or cervadil. Saw dr on a monday (no dilation) and labor tues night- very mild contractions. By the time I got to the hospital (2hrs after contractions started), i was 5 cm dilated and in some pain. Second baby- happened a lot faster. [ Reply | More ]

WOW. That was fast. Thanks for sharing. Looking for hope here. Water broke last time and contractions never started and ended with a c. Hoping to avoid it this time and praying for dilation. I am happy to hear it didn't mean anything in your case. [ Reply | More ]
