I found out 2 wks ago that I have herpes simplex 2 (I hate saying genital herpes). My dh and I both went to the dr and she sort of reassured us that I could have been carrying thsi around dormant from before we were together- stress brings it out often. My marriage is in total shambles though. Dh seems to not quite believe I'm faithful (and I am), we haven't had sex since the outbreak a month ago and we barely talk. yup that sounds like a first outbreak. Is your DH symptomless and/or has he been tested? He may well have given it to you as I believe it is much more likely to be dormant in the male. [ Reply | More

I would sit down and outline the possibilities with your doctor and or a counselor so that dh is aware of the ways/likelihood of the source of the infection. Don't worry...it is very, very common (unfortunately). [ Reply | More

I haven't ever suspected him of cheating. He's very loyal and I generally always know where he is. If he's out, I call with dc updates and he's always where I expect him to be with the pp I expect him to be with. I'm not saying he's great but he's loyal. [ Reply | More
