On the topic of organic vs. nonorganic milk, I do think people are missing that some people have an agenda to push organic foods as well. It's not just the dairy farmers who have a financial stake in this. I find it hard to believe that organic food is so much more expensive to produce to justify the astronomically higher prices. of course they make money, but it is not a higher profit business than non-org. it is a much more expensive way to run a farm though. [ Reply | More

Mass production is always always cheaper than small production. Some of the bigger organic producers (horizon, organic valley) are big but they still do not make the profit margins non-organic farms make. Their supplies cost more and the demand is lower. [ Reply | More

With the increase in gas costs which as increased the grociery amount the difference between organic and non organic food is with quarters of a dollar. At least it is here in California. [ Reply | More
