I'm gonna go with peel, core and chop apples. Add to pot with a little water, some cinnamon, cover and cook until mushy. [ Reply | More ]

No recipe needed....core and peel at least half dozen apples.cut into large pieces. add water to cover and boil until they fall apart easily. Mash it up. Add-ins include a cinnamon stick or groudn cinnamon, a dash of vanilla, 1/4 cup of sugar. You can even leave the skins on, it you like, but most don't. It lasts a long time in the fridge. np- i say no sugar, and get the right variety of apples- and try other spices: nutmeg, allspice, pumpkin pie spice, cloves. We always made apple sauce growing up and every batch was different [ Reply | More ]

here's how i make it. peel and cut into large chunks. (about three or four pieces per apple). put in a cinamon stick, cover, and bake at 350. use a heavy container if you have one. (le creuset type thing). no sugar or water needed. if you want to put in a splash of apple juice you can. it's smooth and rich and dcs love it. [ Reply | More ]
