I have a college sitter that I am paying by the hour for the summer. I posted before to ask whether I should pay her for Memorial Day when she is not working. 2 said yes. What do you think? It's not the same as a full time sitter, is it? I don't want to start paying for time I don't need. I will pay if I decide to go away during the regular week, but not for holidays. Thoughts. In that scenario I don't think you have to pay her for Memorial Day. Fwiw, I pretty much always err on the side of paying but the situation you are describing doesn't seem to warrant "holiday pay." don't worry about it. [ Reply | More
