Have to take 11 mth old on cross country flight. Thinking of 6pm flight so she will fall asleep on the way (her bedtime is 8pm). Am I crazy to think this will work? By the way, she will have her own seat, so can crash in the car seat. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

no, that's totally reasonable. i mean, there's really no sure thing with flying with infants, but i think that sounds smart [ Reply | More ]

What time will you arrive? Seems like it could be a very interrupted night of sleep (unless she's a solid sleeper and can sleep through transfers from plane to terminal to car...) [ Reply | More ]

it is going to be rough, no question. Flight arrives at almost 1am East coast time. But we are moving so she's going to be dealing with the jet lag regardless, and thankfully there is a grandma on the other end who can help with the sleeples first nights there. [ Reply | More ]

well then go for it! flying w/ kids is always a crap shoot. I just flew to Texas w/ 3 kids, prepared for the worst, and all of them were as good as gold. But once we arrived at our destination, the kids woke up 3 days in a row at 4:45. [ Reply | More ]
