DD had been sleeping ok at night, until last night. She would nurse, sleep 10-20 minutes, then wake back up crying. She did that all night! Is this normal? How do I console? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

going thru the same exact thing with 2.5 week old dd. First it was really bad gas and once we got through that (little tummy's works wonders), she started this phase where she keeps her eyes open at all costs and when she falls asleep and wakes up, she's pissed that she fell asleep and starts howling all over again. This morning I breast fed her, she ate like a champ, and two hours later was crying again, so I fed her again but she was basically comfort nursing. just trying to ride it out, but it's so hard to listen to her. GL to you. [ Reply | More ]

That's exactly what it seems like -- she tries to stay awake. She'll stop crying when we turn the lights on. [ Reply | More ]
