I am tired of waking up and all my hair is soaking wet like I dipped it in a pool or something, but alas, no, it is just sweat. It's gross. [ Reply | More ]

LOL. This is exactly what happens. Jump up, turn on fan, lay in bed no blankets, fall asleep, wake up, freezing, jump up, turn off fan, jump in bed, pull up blankets, fall asleep, wake up, sweaty, turn on fan...repeat, repeat, repeat [ Reply | More ]

it's like you can see me! Good thing DH snores and sleeps in the other room! He would never be able to deal with this! [ Reply | More ]

my poor dh gets cold so easily and just wraps himself up in a bunch of blankets every night. Estrogen deficiency sucks so bad. (Menopause in your case). Makes my temp go screwy, makes sex difficult, libido gone, oh the lovely list goes on and on [ Reply | More ]

I have found with the libido that it is more a matter of adjusting my desire on purpose. It used to come and go naturally with my cycle. Now I think I could do without for months. But I'm not willing to do that (and neither is DH!) so I make myself think about it and just assume it will happen a couple times a week. Seems to help [ Reply | More ]

yeah, I make sure to keep doing it and I enjoy it once it gets going but starting is a little tougher. Also, there are dryness issues...have you ever used preseed? I just heard about it and am thinking about buying some [ Reply | More ]

that stuff is expensive. We just use the target brand. Works fine and yes - that does help! [ Reply | More ]

we bought some ky but we are ttc (with an RE) but we also will ttc without IUI at home and I heard preseed is safe. There is almost a zero chance of it working at home so I don't even know why I bother with preseed but hey, anything that can help [ Reply | More ]

interesting. I am going to avoid any meds or hormones if I possibly can. Right now drinking soy milk keeps them at bay most of the time. But every now and then they hit for a few days [ Reply | More ]

45 and in early menopause. I'm ok with it mostly but it surely not what I expected! My cousin is having the same troubles and we were laughing at ourselves discussing potty training and hot flashes in the same email! ;-) [ Reply | More ]

right, I'm 48 so expecting I'll start having symptoms sometime soon. I want to avoid taking any drugs if possible -- I'm a bit paranoid about it, b/c I have a friend who went thru early menopause (at like 30) so she did HRT, and then she got breast cancer at 40 and I can't help thinking it's related.
