The point is that it does not really matter at that age. Environmental factors have a lot to do with this, and it doe snot predict any academic success. In a nutshell, nice, but not necessarily very important. [ Reply | More ]

oh, i totally agree. they did know them, but it's no big deal. seriously - look where it got my ds. and dd really only knew them b/c we were stuck in the house with ds's therapy for 30 hrs/week. [ Reply | More ]

he's in a funk this week, but overall doing very well, thanks. he'll probably never have "normal" speech, but he's learning to type and has good computer skills for a 6yo, so we're getting him a keyboard speech output device next year. kids at school like him, and that's really the most important thing to me right now. op: no, not bragging. I was totally suprised. She just started a preschool for her speech delay and I think this is where she is getting it. I have no idea and I don't normally spend anytime doing things like practicing the alphabet. [ Reply | More ]
