dd is 4 months old. she has been going to bed at 7:00pm and waking up at 3am. Is she too young to try to keep up a little later (in hopes that she will sleep a bit longer) or should I wait until she is older? During the day, the nanny has her on a great schedule. She sleeps from 12-3:00pm, naps 20-30 minutes around 5pm and then down for the night at 7pm. First dd...is this good for the age and I am being too picky? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I know. I try to keep her up, but she literally falls asleep regardless of what I try. [ Reply | More ]

I don't know, honestly I feel she is sometimes better with dd than I am. As my dh said when I was feeling sorry for myself the other day "she has 25 years experience." [ Reply | More ]

I think it's great for this age, you have nothing to complain about... I would presonally cut the last nap if I could and put her down around 6, to have a 2AM feeding. It's a bit easier to handle than 3AM. [ Reply | More ]

DD is 4 mos old. They wake up at night!!! This is what babies do. Mine did until she was over 12 mos (I don't recommend this but I couldn't do CIO at night) [ Reply | More ]

I know they wake up. I just didn't know if I could modify her schedule a bit to make her sleep a little longer. If it's not possible I will deal... It's just hard whenI have to get up to go to work. [ Reply | More ]

It's tough to juggle, but if anything, I think it's easier to do a night feeding around 1-2AM than waking at 4PM and not being able to go back to sleep. That's just my opinion. I have 3 kids, and the 3rd was definitely easier not trying to push a full night sleep. It will happen... [ Reply | More ]
