my friend told me today that she feels badly for me that we live on such a tight budget while she has a lot of flexibility because her family has a huge credit line (most of which is unavailable to them, they have abt 90k of cc debt). we *do* have a tight budget but no cc debt. we have an emergency fund, small retirement funds, college savings fund. her family has none of those things. do you think thats strange? EXACTLY!!! one of my pet-peeves. You can only feel "badly" if there is something wrong with your sense of touch. That said, give OP a break - tons of educated people seem to get this wrong. [ Reply | More ]

no, I don't feel bad for her or for myself! I just was floored that she said she felt bad for me because of our tight budget...I mean I am glad that she doesn't view her situation as concerning but I would if it were me. Though it doesn't mean I feel bad for her. [ Reply | More ]
