Depends a little on the child. My DD was still nursing a lot at night then--and seemed hungry. [ Reply | More ]

i don't think dd's hungry but is using nursing to soothe. she barely eats when i nurse & has gone longer stretches - still waking every 3 hrs. [ Reply | More ]

That's normal for a 4 mo. Why don't you try giving her a pacifier? [ Reply | More ]

we did a little at bedtime at 4 mo bc db found his thumb and nursing to sleep stopped working for us. he never cried much at all. timing is everything - if you get them down at the right time there is very little fussing. having that said - at 6 mo i still feed him at night when he wakes. ^^found his thumb - meaning he was able to self soothe. also rolling to the side when i put him down. he just seemed "ready" if that makes any sense. gl! [ Reply | More ]

bedtime 6pm. wake once at night (b/t 10 and 1) and then one early morning feeding (4-6 am) and then up for the day around 7 or 8. has been the same for the last two months. oh - if he wakes an hour or two after the last feeding i will let him cry (but not WAIL) - usually goes back to sleep in a minute or two.
