Have a 6m/o and an upcoming 3-day business trip to CA. Deciding whether to take DS (& nanny) with me ... or to leave at home with nanny days and DH in evenings. (Separation vs disruption to DS' schedule.) I'm BF but not exclusively, Opinions? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

My preference is to take DB, if you can afford to etc., but DH may miss the baby. How does nanny feel about it? If she's game, try it! [ Reply | More

I did a 5 night trip for work when DB was about 8 months. I decided to keep him home because I thought that he would be happier in his own place. Made sure DH was home early from work those days and put DB to bed. It was fine and actually once I got past being sad about leaving him, I had an enjoyable and more importantly, productive trip and was able to concentrate 100% on the task at hand. [ Reply | More
