If you got into Episcopal, The Y, Park Avenue Christian and Brick, which would you choose? Assume all for MWF mornings. Hypothetical, of course. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

np Agree. I'd choose Brick based on geography--new apt is 30 blocks from dc's preschool and it's going to be a pita getting her to school each day next year. [ Reply | More ]

Just curious, why wouldn't you? Lots of Jewish kids go to non-sectarian or Christian founded schools that have chapel like E and B, can't speak for PAC, didn't tour it. I don't disagree with you, just wanted to understand your thinking, don't all schools need some diversity? [ Reply | More ]

NP: THe Y calls itself "A Jewish Preschool." The other schools you mentioned make no mention of religion. All holidays or none are celebrated at the non-sectarian preschools. [ Reply | More ]

Unless you've experienced each of the school communitiesfirsthand, which you very well may have, how can you fairly assess what is and isn't a down-to-earth community? [ Reply | More ]

well, whichever one you picked might wonder where you were on Tuesday and Thursday mornings! I would pick Brick, Episcopal, PAC. Not Jewish, so no Y for us. [ Reply | More ]

Good point: Episcopal only offers 5 days/week regardless of DC's age. I think Brick is the same, and it only accepts 2.9 and up. PAC and the Y are probably the only 2 that offer MWF options for 2s. [ Reply | More ]
